Hoi An for people who live in Da Nang
Since 1 July 2025, when Quang Nam province merged into Da Nang, Hoi An has been part of Da Nang city; the old town now sits in Hội An ward. On the map it reads as one stretch of coast with the city. Our board covers the old Da Nang districts only. This page is for people who rent in Da Nang and spend their days or evenings in Hoi An.
How far it is
- From Ngu Hanh Son: about 16 km
- From An Thuong: about 21 km
- From Dragon Bridge (centre): about 23 km
In a straight line to the old town (the Japanese Covered Bridge), from the middle of each area. The road is longer.
By road it is about 30 km from the centre of Da Nang. From Ngu Hanh Son it is around 20–25 minutes by motorbike; from the centre, allow longer for traffic.
Why people make the trip
The old town has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999. In the evening its streets and the Thu Bon riverside are lit with lanterns, and the night market on Nguyen Hoang street is where people go to walk and eat. On full-moon nights the old town holds its lantern evening.
Why there are no Hoi An listings here
People look for a place in Hoi An the same way as in Da Nang, through the same groups and sites. Chợ Tốt, one of Vietnam's largest classifieds sites, is one of the sources of our catalogue. When we measured on 13 October 2026, it carried fewer than one new Hoi An rental a day, against about 250 a day for Da Nang. Prices from so few listings would be guesswork, so we do not publish Hoi An prices.
The nearest districts we cover
Ngu Hanh Son is the southernmost district on our board and the closest to Hoi An. My An and An Thuong are further north, by the beach and the cafés.
