Son Tra
Quiet, green, near the peninsula
The calmer, greener side of the city, spreading north toward the Son Tra peninsula (Monkey Mountain). More space, more nature, and a slower pace, still within reach of the beach.

Who it suits
People after quiet and greenery — outdoorsy types, and those who prefer a villa or house to a busy apartment block.
The feel
Spread out and residential, with jungle-covered hills dropping toward the coast. More villa-style, local-neighbourhood living than café strip.
Prices & value
A wide range: local apartments are good value, while newer sea-view villas near the peninsula sit at the top end.
Getting around
A motorbike is worth having here — things are further apart, but the beach and the city are both a short ride away.

Asked all the time

The quietest of the beach-side districts: residential streets, fishing lanes and greenery, with the nightlife a ride away.
This is villa-and-house territory more than tower territory; newer sea-view builds near the peninsula sit at the top end.
A nature reserve with viewpoints and coastal roads — red-shanked douc langurs and macaques live there; ride slowly and don't feed them.
